Photo Journal
A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words...
The Photo Journal is where we collect images from the places, streets, buildings, and architectural sites we visit. It is a visual companion to the destination guides on Old Town Explorer, with photos organized into albums and older archive collections.
We have taken pictures since our first trips together. In the beginning, we used disposable cameras because they were easy to carry. Later, we moved to a digital point-and-shoot camera, then a DSLR, and more recently a mirrorless camera.
As we have gotten more serious about photography, we've learned that it is hard - really hard - to capture good images. As you will see in this journal, our photography skills are a work in progress. Nonetheless, it is our best effort to document the historic towns as clearly as we can.

Albums
The Albums section includes photo collections from architectural sites, historic towns, streets, churches, castles, and other places we visited during our full-time travels. These collections are organized as visual records of the places connected to our ongoing travel research.

Archives
Before we began traveling full-time, we took shorter trips across Europe and other destinations. The Archives section includes photos from those earlier trips, including many of the places that helped shape our interest in old towns, architecture, food, wine, and travel.
