Traveling full-time has taught us a lot about a lot of things! Some of these lessons are based on what we’ve done right – but most are based on what we’ve done wrong. We’re sharing the lessons we’ve learned in our Travel Blog.

Some of these lessons we’ve learned are about traveling full-time, but others are about the places we’ve been, the foods we’ve eaten, and the wines we’ve drunk. We’ve been traveling full-time for well over a year. We are meticulous planners, and things have gone smoothly for the most part. But, there are some things we would have done differently if we had known then what we know now.

Here are our thoughts and opinions about various aspects of traveling full-time.

Although we have spent a limited time in Albania, we enjoyed learning about the new culture and look forward to returning again in the future.

We visited Austria during our second year of full-time travel and plan to return multiple times in the future. Anyone who enjoys nature should have Austria at the top of their travel list.

Traveling in Bosnia has been one of the most rewarding parts of our adventure. We’ve met many wonderful people from different cultures and learned a lot of valuable lessons along the way.

Bulgaria was a surprising discovery during our second summer of full-time travel. Plovdiv, the second largest city in Bulgaria, has been designated as the European Capital of Culture. The city’s majestic hills, ancient ruins from Thracian, Greek, and Roman civilizations, stunning revival-era architecture, and lively art scene were an unexpected highlight our Balkan adventure.

Croatia is an amazing country. While it may not be well-known to most Americans, European tourists do not overlook it. You should book your trip before it gets more crowded than it already is! We hope these posts will provide some inspiration and guidance.

We’re planning to do several years of full-time travel focusing on destinations in Italy. We’ve only scratched the surface, but we have not been disappointed so far! These posts provide suggestions based on some of the things we did right and highlight a few things we should have done differently.

Serbia has been one of our biggest travel discoveries. Belgrade has many Michelin-listed restaurants, several large pedestrian areas, and a beautiful waterfront with excellent running.

Slovakia is conveniently located in the heart of Central Europe. Bratislava, Slovakia’s capital city, is easily accessed by train and makes for the perfect base to explore Europe.
