About Us
Meet the Team!
We’re Ryan, Jen, and Gus – our Frenchie! We’ve been traveling full-time since January 2022.
The decision to travel full-time was not a hasty one. We’ve been traveling the world since we met in the summer of 2000. While we were still in school, we traveled abroad multiple times. Seeing new places and experiencing new cultures were some of our most important lessons – and it’s what we enjoyed! Then life happened…
We moved to San Francisco and started our careers in 2003. In 2009, we followed the lead of many others and moved to Austin, Texas. As an attorney and an accountant, we spent a lot of time behind our desks. We enjoyed our jobs – but they were jobs.
After working for 20 years, our lifelong passion for traveling the world overtook our career ambitions. So, we sold our home in Austin, gave our two-week notices, and bought one-way tickets to Europe!
We plan to travel for the next 20 years (or more) before settling down again and starting the next phase of our lives. Our adventures focus on discovering the unique food, wine, and architecture in old towns around the world. The options are endless…
To ensure we don’t burn out, we’ve adopted a minimalist lifestyle and charted a course to slow travel from city to city and country to country. Typically, we’ll spend one to two months in each city before moving on to a new adventure.
Our journey starts in Southern Europe (Italy, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro). Once we’ve seen the sites, we’ll move on to other exciting destinations (maybe Spain and Morocco or, perhaps, England and France).
We’re sharing our plans and experiences along the way in hopes of enabling and inspiring others to follow their dreams.

Photographer and Blogger
I graduated from Murray State University in 2000 with psychology and criminal justice degrees. I received my law degree, with a concentration in litigation and dispute resolution, from Boston University School of Law in 2003. For nearly two decades, I represented contractors and subcontractors in construction defect disputes involving commercial and residential buildings. In 2022, my lifelong passion for travel, food & wine, architecture, and photography overtook my ambition to be a litigation attorney. So, my wife, Jen, and I sold our home in Austin, Texas, and set out to explore the world with our French Bulldog, Gus!
