If you travel by car, Viscri is 42km (26 miles) from Sighisoara, 125 km (78 miles) from Sibiu, and 79 km (49 miles) from Brasov.

There is a parking lot on the edge of town with a footpath through an apple orchard, past a field with horses, a sheep field, and turkey yard. The path leads to the main road in the village.

From Viscri’s main street, it’s a short uphill walk on a cobblestoned street (past a school with a stork nesting on the chimney) to reach the entrance to the fortified church.

There is no public transportation all the way to Viscri. All the train and bus options take you part of the way there but require a taxi for the remaining journey. We recommend renting a car or hiring a private transfer to visit Viscri.
