Albania Wine
Albania’s wine culture has grown steadily over the past few decades, with small producers refining local grape varieties and improving quality. While most production is still consumed domestically, Albanian wines are starting to gain international attention.
Common white varieties include Shesh i Bardhë and Pules, known for their bright acidity and citrus or floral notes. For reds, Shesh i Zi and Kallmet are widely produced, ranging from medium-bodied and fruity to fuller styles with earthy or herbal character.Â
